Setup

Lie on your back with your buttocks close to a wall and your feet flat on the wall surface. Start with both knees nearly straight (small bend). Place your arms relaxed at your sides.

Movement

Slowly slide your surgical heel down the wall, bending the knee as gravity assists the motion. Slide as far as comfortable, hold the bent position for 5 seconds, then slide the heel back up the wall to straighten the knee. Use the non-surgical leg to help push the surgical foot up if needed.

Tip

The wall provides a smooth, controlled surface that makes it easier to work through a full range of motion compared to floor-based heel slides. Increase the starting distance from the wall as your flexibility improves.
